I started my business based on a desire to help local businesses with their online marketing activities.

I’ve spent most of my career working in the corporate world. For a large part of that I fulfilled a technical sales role within a large telecommunication company. I specialised in the financial markets sector and had the opportunity to work with institutions of all sizes, from the largest global investment banks to the smallest startups.

I found the last few years at that company difficult as it became clear to me that our values were no longer aligned. There were many times throughout those years where I contemplated making a transition from being an employee within this large multi-national company to starting something that was personally more rewarding, so when an opportunity presented itself in 2018 to leave the company I grabbed it with both hands.

The one true blessing that has helped me throughout my career is that ‘I get technology’. I understand the online world, the internet, the world of social media and the world of communication.

When I started the business I was just building websites (I’d been doing that for friends and family for years, in my spare time).

As my experience has grown, I’ve taken a greater interest in search engine optimisation, especially Local SEO.

I’m aware that not everybody is as confident about their technical skills as they’d like to be (does that sound like you) or has the depth of knowledge necessary to make the most of the online opportunities that exist. Maybe you just don’t have the time to do it all yourself. That’s okay because I get great pleasure out of helping people.

I am here to help you and your business to succeed. Get in touch to see how I can help you.

And When I’m Not Working…

After leaving my previous company I decided to seek out a volunteering opportunity. I now spend at least one half day per week volunteering at the Brentwood Community and Voluntary Service. Brentwood CVS is an independent voluntary organisation that provides support to a large number of voluntary organisations within the Brentwood area.

I have taken over the support of the Brentwood CVS website and set up their Mailchimp email software.

The Remedy

Learning to play the saxophone came quite late in life for me. I was probably around 35 years old when I purchased my first sax and started having lessons. It was one of those things that I’d always wanted to do from age 11 or 12.

I’d only ever considered playing in private just for my own enjoyment. It didn’t quite work out that way and I ended up playing a range of public engagements, from the Essex Arms in Brentwood right through to playing onboard Kimi Raikkonen’s yacht at the Monaco F1 Grand Prix.

I don’t play very much at all now but The Remedy very kindly took me under their wing a couple of years ago. I’m not great but I can just about knock out a tune.

You can see us here playing on the Fairkytes Live stage at the Havering Show.

The Remedy are a great little band. Definitely go and see them if you get a chance.

Little Red Corvette

Yes, for any Prince fans – my very own little red corvette. I had this car shipped over to the UK from Florida in 2013 by Jeff at Automotion Car Sales, Brentwood, Essex. It’s a 1976 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.

If you’re like me you’ll know how when you hear a certain piece of music or a song it will evoke memories of a special occasion or a time in your life and transport you back to that point in time. One of the first things I did was to go to Amazon Music and download about 100 songs from 1976 and 1977 to play in the car while I’m driving. I stopped short of getting the white suit that John Travolta wore as Tony Manero in Saturday Night Fever.
